WebJun 13, 2024 · Just received hillside horsehide d pocket jacket, disappointed, I have owned 7 leather jacket, from $99 dollars mall jacket to Lost worlds high-end jacket, this is probably the worst, the plastic feel of the leather reminds me my first ck faux leather jacket, please just stay away from their HORSEHIDE jacket. I needed a new leather vest to replace one I never liked because it was thin and too short. I ordered a vest from Hillside and I was very disappointed as it was just as thin and short as the one I had. WebMar 18, 2024 · This is described as 3 to 3 1/2 ounces of naked cowhide. It’s a heavy jacket , almost as heavy as a Fox Creek jacket I had owned some years ago. They have heavier weight jackets but I really liked the distressed brown. I’d estimate the leather thickness as 1.4mm , close to 1.5mm.

Hillside offers thick 2.0mm heavy leather much heavier then Fox Leather. They told me they don't have 2.0mm Leather. If I were to buy or have someone make me a leather jacket it would be Hillside.
